Slowly but surely I am going to have my store really up and running. I am faxing off my application to Louet today to become a dealer so I can get the discounted price on yarns to dye. My reseller's license is in process along with my DBA. I should say, I thought it was in process, but apparently I missed filling in one thing on the form and it got sent back. Tomorrow I'm going to just take the ting down to the county. I have been making batts and stitch markers like a madwoman. Like these two examples....
There is so much more, I need to start taking photos of them all or I will be there forever attempting to update everything.
There has not been too much life in between otherwise. We did go to Disneyland where Miss Alex got to model the latest in baby fashions knitted by her Cousin Rosemary. Rosemary was worried it would be too small by the time she got it but that doesn't seem to be the issue, rather a wee bit to big.
Since we were able to slip right out of it. I think the button needs to be a slight bit bigger for the hole. Easy fix.
There has also been actual knitting and spinning. I attended that Entrelac Class at Daily Fiber Yarn Co. which went well as you can see! Loving the yarn, it is Teseo by di.ve. 50% Wool and 50% Microfiber, so it has hope for being able to be worn on my wool sensitive neck. No other part, mind you, just the neck. Merino, no problem, itchy stuff? Big red welts! I also started a sock a few weeks ago in Noro Silk Garden Sock, which I just couldn't resist, and got a round or two on that.
And Alex's blanket got a wee bit wider. I also manager to get some spinning done, this is the second bobbin of my rainbow handdyed by me soft wool. Pretty so I may get to ply! Wheee! I need to get going on my Spunky Club Swap from Ravelry on my partner's stuff. I've got the ideas, now just to do!
Oh yeah! Thanks for the comments those of you that have been stopping by! I do love visitors. Ricky, yep, that's me. Elemmaclitur, does the yellow center background help?

Your scarf looks gorgeous so far - perfect colours for fall!

Wohoo! What a small world! Thanks for adding me to your attention catching blog list :o)
I will be adding you to mine as well.
Oh! I started spinning some BFL superwash I got off ebay. I dyed it today and I spun a sample to see what it would look like. I keep trying to remember what you said and I am FINALLY starting to be able to spin really thin like you showed me. I am realizing how my drop spindle is on the heavy side. Perhaps I will have to save up to buy one suitable or lace weight or whatnot.
Take care!

hi my lovely lady friend!
it was nice seeing you on friday. great progress with your entrelac, it makes me want to try it out. i want to felt a bag though so i can carry my "stuff" around easier. i was sitting at daniel, my husband's, hockey game today with one of daily fiber's small bags as my bag. the same one i've been using for a month! i am better than that lol ;o)
i looked up the kick spindle we discussed. i found it on Etsy and on Youtube. is this it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKXca2l0RPo
she "predrafts" so you might want to cover your ears or mute the sound! i know how you feel about that j/k
is it me or does it seem like a fancy supported drop spindle to you? you know how green i am to all of this spinning thing so please correct me if i am wrong.
thanks again for all of your advice and guidance. i feel a month in the first few things you told me totally make me try and try and try harder. thank you again :)

You'll get there soon! I just got my Louet account and while I have to say it's not as smooth a system as some other wholesale accounts, the people are very friendly to deal with. Good luck getting off the ground.
