What I did on my day off...

Well, if you can call it a day off.  As much as you can when you work from home.  See, today I decided all I was doing was take care of some lab dirt and answer the phone and that was all.  Other than that, I knit and I spun and caught up on blogs.  Wheeeee!  What a lovely day.  Which means tomorrow I need to finish all of the things I didn't do today.  See, that's the problem with shirking duties.  There still there when you're done shirking, and probably worse.  Like the pile of laundry to do, the dishes in the sink, the mailings to put together....  Sigh.

Well, enough of that.  It's still Wednesday, and I shall worry about that tomorrow, to paraphrase Ms. O'Hara.  Today I had fun!  I spun:

Dsc00040 Almost finished with that mohair I had taken to Glamis.  Hadn't had a chance to work on it since then, so today seemed like an opportune time to do so.  Love this stuff, but I'm not sure what I'll do with it.  Why?  Because it's almost the same color as my hair.  I sorta think a scarf or hat might be out, unless I change my hair color again.  That does happen on a regular basis....

And I knit!

Dsc00038_1  I'm to the center of the central motif!  Yay!  I might finish this before the KAL is over.  It's really an easy knit, but requires a wee bit of concentration on that chart (read: already screwed up once, see previous post) to make sure it's coming out as it should.  For me, not something I can just pick up for a minute or two.  That ADHD coming out in me.  Notice the post-its?  Post-its are the best thing to ever happen to chart knitters.  Really.  Add them to your knitting bag, and get the super sticky ones, they work much better.

A quick photo of the finished Stupid Simple Scarf!

Dsc00044  Love this!  It's really nice and soft, and matches quite a bit of my wardrobe, which is always a nice bonus!

Finally, I leave you with this:

Zoe loves Tiger...

Dsc00028  Bathtime!!!

Dsc00029_1 Sigh....

Dsc00033 Ahh, other side!

Dsc00035_1 Oh, I could fall asleep...

Dsc00032 You will tell no-one of this.  No-one.

The color of the mohair is gorgeous. And the cats are adorable.
