Happy New Year!
OK, first off:
Because, JenLa, you always take your panda camping. Meme courtesy of them.
Second, Glamis was great, we had so much fun I hardly got any knitting done. There were beautiful sunsets looking out towards Oldsmobile Hill and then there are the sand drags at Gecko Road
where everyone watches people trying to show off how fast their toys are:
Yes, that is an Astrovan. Go figure. A little more typical:
I also sorta came home with a new toy kinda. Kinda you ask? Well, as soon as new toy is back in my possession a picture will be provided, but we bought me a mini-buggy of sorts. It was PURPLE, people. A purple two seater dune buggy/go kart cross thing that was just screaming my name. She's gone back with the dealer for a tune up and a turbo installed, because my husband said I needed one. Whatever. It was PURPLE. A purple thing that caused me to finally master driving with a clutch, which had defeated me as to this point. Thank goodness for our friend Aaron kindly teaching me in his Jeep, which was probably great, since having your husband teach you anything like that is never a good idea. She needs a name yet, I might even do a contest...
I did bring along the wheel and do some spinning on some mohair I've had for a while. Although, this stuff is so fly away, I swear more of it was on my shirt than on the bobbin.
A little closer:
The colors right on in the first picture. I've got Ricky the Fricky (yes, he's gained a name) tuned up much better, and he seems to be spinning lovely now. Finally.
Knitting-wise, I got quite a bit of the stupid simple scarf done and it's looking like it will be worn before winter's over. Let it Snow got hardly anything done
since I can't read charts in the car (makes me sick to concentrate that much) and there wasn't much sitting and doing nothing time. Which I suppose is good for the vacation, but not for the yarn stash.
Speaking of stash, coming tomorrow, why Susan shouldn't be allowed in Local Yarn Shops and why moving to Corona is beautiful. Gee, can you see what's coming?

Taking along your last sentences: I don't think I should be allowed into a yarn shop either. Every time I go in there, I come out with something new....although I'm the type that buy the yarns with something specific in mind. :p
Wow, I think that this is my first comment on your blog..(is it?), but you've already got me blogrolled! So, my blog's not that boring after all. *LOL*

Ah! Glamis! My brother used to have that tradition. Now my stepson goes with his best friend's family over Thanksgiving.

I am totally going to find the internet clip of an astrovan smoking the competition at a drag race for you. You absoulutely have no need to see it ever. Which is why you must have it.
